The short version. Rigby is an AI companion for everyday student stress. It is not therapy and it is not a crisis service. Use it kindly, and call 988 or 911 if you are in danger.

Using Rigby

By creating an account or using the guest demo you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. Rigby is intended for college students and is not for children under 13.

What Rigby is, and is not

  • Rigby is an AI chatbot that offers supportive conversation and simple tools such as journaling prompts and breathing exercises.
  • It does not provide therapy, medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a substitute for a licensed professional.
  • It is not a crisis or emergency service. If you are in danger, or thinking about hurting yourself, call or text 988 (U.S.), call 911, or contact your campus counseling center.
  • Rigby is an AI and can be wrong. Do not rely on it for decisions about your health, safety or studies.

Your account

  • Give us accurate information and keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • You can delete your account at any time from your profile.
  • The guest demo is temporary and limited in time and number of messages, and guest conversations are not saved.

Being a good user

Please do not misuse Rigby. For example, do not try to break or overload it, probe it for other people's information, use it to harass or harm anyone, or try to get around its limits. We may limit or close accounts that do.

Your content

What you write to Rigby stays yours. You allow us to process it so that Rigby can reply and so we can run the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Availability and changes

Rigby is an early-stage product and may change, have downtime or be paused. We may update these terms; if the change matters, we will update the date above and let you know.

Ending your use

You can stop using Rigby at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk.

Disclaimers and limits

Rigby is provided "as is", without promises about accuracy or uninterrupted service. To the extent the law allows, My Emotional Support Bot™ is not liable for indirect or consequential harms arising from using Rigby. Nothing here limits rights you have under the law that cannot be limited.
